Dr. Marianella Collette teaches Latin American Literature in the Department of Languages, Literatures and Cultures at ³Ô¹ÏÖ±²¥.  She has published three books. The first two are collections of interviews with Argentine writers; the first examines how their writings have enriched knowledge of contemporary Latin American literature and cultures from a female perspective, while the second examines, from a feminist perspective, the influence of Argentine women writers in exile and their struggle for freedom and justice in Latin America. The third book is a compilation and edition of Luisa Valenzuela’s journalistic work in Argentina. Dr Collette’s current research focuses on how South American women writers are rewriting traditional fairy tales to foster a new awareness of female voices in Latin American literature.
